Ellie Soutter is one of the most progressive junior female snowboard athletes of Great Britain.
Ellie is a 17 y/o snowboarder riding Freeride and boardercross,
Ellie is a GB Junior SBX athlete and lives in Les Gets in the French Alps where she learnt to snowboard at the age of ten. Ellie trains mostly with her coach Deborah Anthonioz (SBX Olympic vice champion 2010), and competes throughout Europe in boardercross at a national and Europa Cup level. Ellie’s recent notable achievements include vice champion of the Freeride Junior World Tour 2017, European Freeride champion 2016 and Team GB Bronze medalist at the European Youth Olympics 2017 for boardercross. Ellie competes on the Junior Freeride Tour and the SBX Europa Cup circuit throughout winter and trains in New Zealand in the summer, allowing her to develop her riding as much as possible.
Ellie’s future goals are to qualify to the Freeride World Tour and also up her rankings on the World Cup circuit for boardercross eventually qualifying for Team GB for the 2022 winter Olympics in Beijing, which is her ultimate ambition.
Outside of snowboarding Ellie is most at home participating in outdoor pursuits and will be found mountain biking and hiking and traveling.
Ellie is currently affiliated with Redbull, who will be following her sporting achievements very closely.
In 2017 Ellie was made an ambassador For Les Gets Ski station in the French Alps.
Ellie was a 2017 nominee for GB Snowsports Eve Pinching awards.
